THE SPRING HOME RESET: FRESH IDEAS FOR EVERY CORNER
A LITTLE RESET GOES A LONG WAY
October is the perfect excuse to give the home a little refresh. From those kitchen cupboards that could use some attention to bedrooms ready for a comfort upgrade, small changes can make everyday life feel that little bit better.
This month, Homemaker Prospect is bringing together inspiration for a more organised home, cosy spaces to unwind in and easy ways to make the most of the weekend. Consider this the sign to finally tackle that home to-do list!
THE KITCHEN CLUTTER CURE
A more functional kitchen starts with a space that works for everyday life. Discover kitchen design inspiration and practical appliances to help make meal preparation, storage and daily routines feel more streamlined.
Make every corner count this October. Sunday Kitchens and Living showcases how clever design can transform an overlooked space into a standout feature. This custom bar in Petersham pairs rich Florentine Walnut cabinetry with elegant Taj Mahal stone, turning the area beneath the stairs into a stylish extension of the home.
Small but mighty. The KitchenAid Mini Food Chopper in Empire Red makes chopping, mixing and puréeing a breeze. Available at The Good Guys, its compact design is ideal for quick meal prep without taking up precious bench space.
YOUR BEDROOM, YOUR HAPPY PLACE
A good night's rest starts with a comfortable space. From supportive mattresses to fresh bedding and finishing touches, find inspiration for creating a bedroom that feels inviting from the moment you walk in.
The King Koil Platinum Luxury Elysium Mattress at Forty Winks combines cooling AeroWeave fabric, airflow-enhancing coils and adaptive support for a more comfortable night’s sleep.
A timeless finishing touch. The Sahara Linen Feather Cushions from Pillow Talk bring soft texture and effortless elegance to your space, with plush feather inserts and versatile shades that make styling your sofa or bed a breeze.
A FRESH LOOK FOR YOUR LIVING SPACE
Sometimes, all a room needs is a little change. Explore lighting and furniture ideas that bring warmth, character and a fresh look to living spaces, whether it's a cosy reading corner or a lounge ready for entertaining.
Lighting with a natural touch. The Odelia 1 Light Pendant from Beacon Lighting combines glass, metal and organic textures in four stylish finishes, bringing warmth and modern elegance to any room.
Relax in style. The Norfolk leather recliner lounge from Nick Scali pairs premium materials with effortless reclining, bringing luxurious comfort to your living room.
Big transformations aren't always necessary. Sometimes, a better-organised cupboard, a more comfortable bedroom or a small living room update is all it takes to make home feel new again.
Visit Homemaker Prospect this October for fresh ideas, practical finds and inspiration for everyday living.
CREATE YOUR DREAM KITCHEN
Start With a Design That Works for You
A kitchen renovation is a big decision, and getting it right means looking beyond colours and benchtops. It’s about creating a space that suits your home, your routines, your storage needs and your budget.
At Sunday Kitchens & Living, the focus is on creating custom kitchens around the people who use them. With 28 years of kitchen experience behind founder Tabrez, the family-run business helps bring your ideas together with personalised design, clear pricing and support from the initial concept through to installation.
Your Kitchen, Your Way
No two households use their kitchens in quite the same way. Maybe you need more storage, better bench space for meal preparation, a layout that works for a busy family or a kitchen that makes entertaining easier.
Sunday Kitchens & Living takes a tailored approach, helping you explore options that suit your space and priorities rather than simply choosing a standard design.
The process can include:
A design tailored to your home: Make the most of your available space, layout and storage requirements.
Personalised finishes and selections: Explore cabinetry, benchtops, colours and materials to create a look that feels like yours.
Practical planning: Consider how you cook, move around the kitchen and use the space every day.
A 3D visualisation: See your proposed kitchen design before the build, helping you understand how the elements work together.
Choose Your Kitchen Finish
Countertops
Sunday Kitchens & Living works with Art of Marble Stone Gallery, offering natural stone options that bring individuality to every kitchen. No two slabs are exactly alike, so each design has its own character, from warm and understated to rich and dramatic. Explore different stone finishes and see how the right choice can transform your kitchen.
Explore Your Finishes
From earthy tones to understated matt textures, polytec’s decorative board range brings the colours and character of Australia’s natural landscapes into kitchen design. With a refined, timeless palette, these finishes offer another way to personalise your cabinetry and create a kitchen that feels distinctly yours.
Know What You're Investing In
A custom kitchen is about more than the finished look. It's the thought, craftsmanship and coordination that go into creating a space around your needs.
You're investing in time saved, quality workmanship and a kitchen designed specifically for your home. Instead of juggling trades, chasing updates or trying to piece everything together yourself, you have a team guiding the process and managing the details.
With transparent pricing and no hidden costs, you'll have a clearer understanding of what's included before moving forward. It's not just about the price of a kitchen; it's about the value of having the right people bring your vision to life, without having to manage every little detail yourself.
Good Kitchens Speak for Themselves. Happy Customers Say Even More.
Meet Tuvuki, a happy customer of Sunday Kitchens & Living at Prospect, who shares his experience with the team and the finished kitchen.
From the beautiful results to the team's efficiency and professionalism, his feedback highlights the value of having the right people guide a kitchen renovation from start to finish. It's a great example of what a personalised approach and attention to detail can bring to a home.
Start Planning a Kitchen That Fits Your Life
You don't need to have every detail decided before you start exploring. Bring your ideas, questions, inspiration images or even a list of things that aren't working in your current kitchen.
Visit Sunday Kitchens & Living to discuss your project, explore personalised design options and discover what could work for your home.
A better kitchen starts with understanding how you want to live in it.

Mother's Day Guide
You know the drill. You want something thoughtful, but not overcomplicated. Something she’ll genuinely enjoy, not just unwrap and politely thank you for.
That’s where a Homemaker Prospect run makes sense. You can see it, feel it, and actually picture her using it at home. Whether it’s slow mornings, wind-down nights, or those small in-between moments she rarely takes for herself.
If you’re keeping it simple but still want it to feel considered, start here:
For her slow, “don’t disturb me” moments
The kind she never plans… but always needs.
At Pillow Talk, the Dani Stripe Linen Cotton Kimono is one of those easy, everyday luxuries. Soft, breathable, with that relaxed stripe design. I’s what she reaches for after a shower, on a quiet morning, or when she finally gets a second to herself. It’s comfortable, practical, and still feels a little bit special.
For the reset she didn’t realise she needed
Because sometimes it’s the small upgrades that make the biggest difference.
From Bing Lee, the Homedics Salt-N-Soak Pro Footbath with Heat Boost is all about switching off. Warm water, gentle bubbles, and her favourite soaking salts. An easy way to unwind without leaving the house.
It’s simple, but it turns “just sitting down” into an actual moment.
For her everyday routine (but better)
The Dyson Airstrait Straightener (Ceramic Pink / Rose Gold) from The Good Guys takes hair from wet to styled using airflow — no extreme heat needed. Less damage, smoother finish, and that “done” feeling without the effort.
It’s one of those gifts that quietly becomes part of her daily routine.
You don’t need a huge gift to get it right.
Just something that fits into her day, makes it a little easier, or gives her a reason to slow down.
Take your time, and pick the one that feels like her. You’ll know when you see it.
Autumn Home Upgrades
As the seasons begin to shift, it’s the perfect time to refresh your home with pieces that bring warmth, comfort, and a more relaxed feel to everyday living. Think layered textures, softer lighting, and spaces designed for slowing down. At Homemaker Prospect, you’ll find everything you need to transition your home into autumn—simple updates that make a noticeable difference.
